The concrete deck and stairs that appear to float down the hillside at the Castle Drive project were created with a steel pan system normally used in large buildings. The sculptural decks give the garden a clean contemporary look and a palette of mostly Asian plants compliments the lovely Japanese maples left from a long gone previous garden. Water drips over the side of a rectangular, raccoon proof water feature and the sliding gate at the entrance was charred to create the dense black color. |
